California Privacy Act for JerseyLoco
This California Privacy Act Notice supplements the information contained in the Privacy Policy of Jersey Loco (“Jersey Loco,” “we,” “us”) and applies solely to consumers, visitors, users, and others who reside in the State of California (“you” or “consumers”). We adopt this notice to comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”) and other applicable California privacy laws. Any terms defined in the CCPA have the same meaning when used in this notice.
Information We Collect
We collect information that identifies, relates to, describes, references, is capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular consumer or household (“personal information”). In particular, in the past twelve (12) months, we have collected the following categories of personal information from consumers:
- Identifiers (such as name, postal address, email address, telephone number, account name, IP address)
- Commercial information (records of products or services purchased, return history, transaction information)
- Internet or electronic network activity information (browser type, cookies, usage data, referring URLs, pages visited)
- Geolocation data (approximate location derived from IP address)
- Inferences drawn from other personal information (e.g. preferences, trends, behavior)
Personal Information Exclusions
“Personal information” does not include:
- Publicly available information from government records;
- De-identified or aggregated consumer information;
- Information excluded from the scope of CCPA, such as certain health information, financial account numbers covered under other privacy laws, or protected via other sector-specific regulations.
We collect the above categories of personal information from the following categories of sources:
- Directly from you (e.g. when you create an account, place an order, contact customer support)
- Indirectly from you (e.g. via cookies or other tracking technologies, observing your usage of our website)
From third-party sources (e.g. analytics providers, advertising partners, social media platforms)
- Identifiers (such as name, postal address, email address, telephone number, account name, IP address)
- Commercial information (records of products or services purchased, return history, transaction information)
- Internet or electronic network activity information (browser type, cookies, usage data, referring URLs, pages visited)
- Geolocation data (approximate location derived from IP address)

Use of Personal Information
We may use or disclose the personal information we collect for one or more of the following business purposes:
- To fulfill or meet the reason you provided the information (e.g. process your orders, deliver products)
- To maintain, improve, and personalize our website, products, and services
- To create, maintain, customize, and secure your account
- To process your requests, purchases, transactions, and payments, and prevent fraud
- To respond to your customer service requests and support needs
- To send you promotional communications (if you have opted in)
- To detect security incidents, protect against malicious or fraudulent activity, and ensure the integrity of our systems
- For internal research, analysis, and product development
- To comply with legal obligations, court orders, or government requests
- As described to you when collecting your personal information
We will not use your personal information for materially different, unrelated, or incompatible purposes without providing you notice.
Disclosure / Sharing of Personal Information
We may disclose your personal information to a third party for a business purpose. When we do so, we enter contracts to ensure the third party keeps the information confidential and uses it only to perform the specified purpose.
In the past twelve (12) months, we have disclosed personal information for business purposes to:
- Service providers (e.g. payment processors, shipping carriers, hosting providers, marketing/analytics platforms)
- Affiliates (if applicable)
- Other third parties you authorize
Sale of Personal Information
We do not sell the personal information of consumers, as defined under the CCPA.
Your Rights Under California Law
Access / Data Portability
You have the right to request that we disclose certain information to you about our collection and use of your personal information over the past 12 months. Specifically, once we receive and verify your request, we will disclose:
- The categories of personal information we collected
- The categories of sources from which the personal information was collected
- Our business or commercial purposes for collecting that personal information
- The categories of third parties to whom we disclosed the personal information
- The specific pieces of personal information we collected about you
Deletion Request
You have the right to request that we delete any of your personal information that we collected and retained, subject to certain exceptions. Once we verify your request, we will delete your personal information from our records unless an exception applies (for example, where maintaining the information is necessary to complete a transaction, comply with a legal obligation, detect fraud, or for internal uses consistent with your relationship).

We will require a verifiable consumer request to ensure you are the person about whom we collected information (or an authorized agent). We may ask for identifying information to verify the request. We will respond within 45 days, or, if we require an extension, within 90 days (we will notify you of the reason). We will not charge a fee unless the request is excessive or manifestly unfounded.
Opt-Out of Sale
If Jersey Loco ever sells personal information, you have the right to opt out of such sales. As noted above, we currently do not sell personal information. But if that changes, you can:

Once you opt out, we will wait at least 12 months before asking you to reauthorize any sale. You do not need an account to make an opt-out request, and we will only use the information provided to verify and comply with your request.
Non-Discrimination
You will not be discriminated against for exercising any of your CCPA rights. Unless permitted by the CCPA, we will not:
- Deny you goods or services
- Charge you a different price or rate
- Provide a different level or quality of goods or services
- Suggest that you may receive a different price or quality for exercising your rights

California “Shine the Light” Law
California’s “Shine the Light” law (Civil Code § 1798.83) permits you, as a California resident, to request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, you may:

California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA)
CalOPPA requires that we conspicuously post a privacy policy on our website, indicating what information is collected and how it is used. We make reasonable efforts to allow users to opt out of the use of cookies and tracking where applicable. If you disable cookies or similar tracking, please note that you may not be able to access certain features of the website.
Changes to This Notice
We reserve the right to amend this California Privacy Notice at our discretion. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email (if you have provided one) or by placing a notice on our website homepage or in another prominent location.
